Route 66 is a historic highway in the United States that was established in 1926 and ran from Chicago, Illinois to Santa Monica, California. The highway covered a total of 2,448 miles and passed through eight states: Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California.
